Organizational Goals

1. NC-20 is currently supported by some, but not all coastal counties. It shall be the primary goal of NC-20 to convey to all counties the wisdom of unity.
2. NC-20 shall encourage and work aggressively toward a membership from the general public and from companies and other organizations with common interests.
3. NC-20 shall increase its organizational capabilities by gradually adding permanent, paid staff to support the mission. Currently, the all-volunteer effort is working but there are numerous gaps in both our abilities and time. (Staff Admin person hired January 2013)
4. NC-20 shall establish a permanent office, both to house an appropriate staff and to serve as a repository of information and records. (Accomplished January 2013)
5. NC-20 shall fund a full time lobbying effort to enable the organization to have rapid and effective access to legislators and State and Federal officials as needed to present our case.
6. NC-20 shall fund research as appropriate to support our common purposes.
7. NC-20 shall have effective and pro-active public relations ability.
8. NC- 20 shall communicate often and effectively with the public, the legislators and governmental officials on matters of interest to the NC 20 economy and NC 20 activities that relate to our efforts.
